If you haven’t been to Tipsy Parson in Chelsea yet, you should pop in for at least a cup of Stumptown coffee. I’ve been to what feels like 1,000+ restaurants all over NYC, and this one made an impression on me for a variety of reasons. Most of all, the art deco interior design. Hand painted flowers and a library mural on the wall. Absolutely charming & remarkable.

I’m a sucker for unusual & classic doors and windows. Maybe one day, I’ll actually get to wake up to something like this every day. In the meantime, thank you Jill Brinson for the bright moment of inspiration. :)
I love that Pinterest created a digital version of the cork boards of inspiration I’ve had since I was a teenager. I still like to keep the “real life” version of the inboard with all my tear sheets though. I can see them from my couch, the entryway to my apt, and best of all, every time I enter/exit my room. It’s nice to have a constant reminder of words of inspiration, reasons to smile, enlarge your eyes with visions & dreams, et al.
Here’s a picture of the latest item I pinned to my actual board, right in time for the arrival of 2012.
